Burley Hawk

I just go and lift, leave all the BS to those who want to stay in the past. In order to move forward we need to forget the past!

It'd be great if it were that easy but the more you get into it the more often you have people bringing it up...

Just out of interest is it written in Westside rules that they squat so the knee is above the hip or whatever?

I agree partially with Brick. As a newcomer I googled 'strongest powerlifters' and you get Louie talking about his guys who bench 900lbs+. I think 'well that's a fair way ahead of Scott Mendelson' so you go and read all about Westside..... Good advertising.

All the rule books say that the top of the knee must be above the top surface of the hips or some permutation of this

Jay Nera called out Dave Hoff on PLWatch

I haven't read through all of the above comments and I think the depth on the squat cannot even be defended. But I will add MY TWO CENTS TO DAVID HOFF.

1) I want to say that you are a crazy strong dude and respect on locking out that heavy deadlift and holding it like that. Awesome lift man and I loved the intensity. You are a strong and intense dude who will obviously do well in any of the modes of lifting.

2) RAW UNITY MEET.... February 2014. You have a choice between mono lift and wraps... or belt only and walked out. I hope to see you there!!

and Dave Hoff is probably like "who the fuck is Jay Nera?" (serious, all he does all day is smoke pot and play video games lol)

As long as judging is consistent within your chosen fed from country to country it's fine.
IPF has some countries slighlty harder than others ( I'd consider Australia in the middle, NZ is tougher ) but no easy countries

GPC from what little I've seen seems roughly consistent with what's considered good for multiply feds
WPC seems to vary widely
It certainly shouldn't get easier for record attempts.
