Rev

New member
Guys what's the tingling about in my face when I take this?
Also I assume it is just mixed with a bit of water, yes?
Any other hints on best use?
Thanks
Darren

Tingling is normal with B.A. This will reduce over time. I don';t get the tingling, never did.

2gms before and 2gms after workout.
Also 2gms morning and 2gms afternoon on non-workout days.

I have the tablets.
Just a tiny bit of tingling when i first started it a few weeks a go but as Shrek said it will reduce over time.

Wow im taking 6 gms during and 6grams randomly on days off...

too much?
Do you research anything?.............j/k

Excellent, thanks for the heads up, bit weird the tingling, but it's all good.
All good Rev.

Have a read here mate
Extract.

Research has shown that you can take an amount between 3.2 grams and 6.4 grams per day to significantly boost carnosine levels and improve performance. The most recent research, now using 4-5 grams a day, is showing comparable carnosine concentration and performance improvements to those using 6.4 g daily. Based off the current research, we suggest 4 grams of beta-alanine a day, with an “optional” 2 week loading phase of 6 grams a day during the first month of use.

Beta Alanine is great for shaking the latic acid out of your muscles and stopping it from entering your stomach and giving you that "I want to bail on this workout feeling". Taking straight beta alanine is good but I normally prefer to find a pre-workout formula based on beta alanine so you can get the extra kick.

That has got to be the WORST explanation of how beta alanine works that I have ever seen. Do you even know what lactic acid is and what beta alanine does?

Yeh well... beta alanine does buffer against lactic acid biuld up.... and yes im a little hyped on jacked at the moment - seems you have never tried it before.

I've started taking NO BETA tabs this week, 6 - 8 before training, and yes, I'm getting the itching too - but it subsides soon enough.

Your explanation was it SHAKES, i repeat SHAKES, lactic acid out of the muscles. No it helps increase carnosine to buffer hydrogen ions which are split from lactate a by product of anaerobic energy production. This in turn increases your lactate threshold as your muscles ph level has not gone as acidic which decreases the ability for the muscle fibres to contract. The lactate is then retaken back into the mitochondria to form pyruvate to produce aerobic metabolism after your exercise intensity has significantly decreased. It is also transported in the blood to the heart and liver which both can use it, one for energy production the other for glycogen production. It does not go to your stomach and does not make you want to throw up, another statement you made. The hyrdogen ions are slowly buffered in the blood stream and your cardiopulmonary system does the rest.

That is why what you said is crap and if you don't understand it properly do not go spreading around information about it.
