BCAA ratio significance

broncies

Hey guys,
I'm trying to figure out the significance of BCAA ratios.
Wouldn't it make sense to just have a big dose of each (as much as your body can process at one time) or do they function together only at a certain dose?
Thanks.

Dont get it?

What are you asking??

The goal is anabolism and their is a maximal anabolic response from bcaa, taking more is useless.

Protein as a whole is a substrate (bricks) to build... BCAA is the foreman getting the work done.

Taking more equals a higher oxidation of amino acids and wasted excess calories in the diet.

Marketing. They are running out of crap to put on the labels to differentiate from another product.

2:1:1 has been the popular ratio fur years but now support companies are using 4:1:1 and even 8:1:1 ratios of Leucine: Valine: Isoleucine.

Marketing hype????

I'll use them pre-training (or just lucine) with carbs if I haven't eaten for a few hrs before. BUt other than that I don't see the point unless your restricting protein.

If you are getting adequate protein from a variety of sources then BCAA's are not required.

In saying that, I have xtend for fasted workouts mainly cause it tastes great :)
