AUSBB Powerlifting and Weightlifting Leaderboard

The Hamburgler

Spotter Loader
Similar to the other couple of threads/leaderboards (I'd been meaning to do this one for a while but it would have been painful without a working computer at home) but for the 3 powerlifts and 2 weightlifting events + totals.
The main difference with this leaderboard is that video evidence of the lifts performed to PL standards will be required for judging (See notes at bottom for rules on lifts)

There will be 4 categories, each with their own subcategories (and a dedicated post)
1. Open powerlifting
2. Classic powerlifting
3. Olympic weightlifting
4. Combined classic powerlifting and weight lifting total

1. Open weightliting

a) Squat - ordered by highest weight lifted
b) Bench Press - ordered by highest weight lifted

f) Bench Press - ordered by highest Siff score (see link at bottom)

bench siff 35.288774 (82.5 @ 83.7)
deadlift siff 53.814445 (190 @ 83.7)
total siff 47.968748 (435 @ 83.7)
(all comp lifts)

lack of videos is coz graham only filmed my squat at last comp :( surly he can vouch for my lifts considering he witnessed them??
all said lifts were passed under PA rules

I will consider your proposal :p

Comp total will deff count

I will consult with my superiors re: the unfilmed ones lol

Also your gym total in this case would be your best comp total
The gym total is just the sum of your squat/bench/dead pbs regardless of whether they were done in comp or the gym

thanks grah hehe
so gym total is best lift overall? in that case mine is 162.5/85/190 ~ 437.5 (yes the bench is paused, with minhs calls)

I just realised i didn't count my 200 in the capo dl comp cos there's no vid

Start making some 3rd lifts and I'll start filming them :p

Put me down for a 60kg snatch, bad form but good enough for this?

Have also clean and jerked 85kg, but no video so don't bother adding it.

Form is better now, but still building it up again after my spine injury. Hoping for around 90kg/120kg this year.

Dan snatches 60kg - YouTube

Sorry Dan but imo there's no way you would have made that if the weight was more than you could overhead press.
If you go to the 14 second mark you're elbows and knees are bend then they both extend at the same time. Compare that to Sage Burgener doing a power snatch where she is still coming down as the elbows extend
Coach Burgener On Power Snatch - YouTube

ps are they your Ivankos? I'm coming to steal them

I agree it wasn't the best form/pass in a competition. Don't bother adding it this thread its not like it was impressive if done right anyway. Just want to add that, that was my first time ever doing snatches with zero coaching or anyone around who can do them lol.

Also yes those are my Ivanko 50's you can see in the background. As for stealing them, good luck.

Yeah, I'm not a weightlifting/purist Nazi but there was a definite press out. If you'd kept your knees bent for longer you probably would have gotten away with it :p
I've done 50kg but that was with a press out on one side.
A 60kg snatch on here wouldn't be too bad given we have few WLers (and the one we do have isn't very strong anyway)

I do have to ask what convinced you to get 50kg plates? I've toyed with the idea many a time myself cos they're awesome but just can't bring myself to do it lol

Pretty much ever since I knew they existed I wanted them. Very expensive though, about $7 per KG once you pay for shipping.
