Anyone else get tempted by roids?

What are your stats now?

Do you have low BF%? Yes very low.
Is your diet 100% perfect? No, but I try the best I can with the money I have ($30-$40 a week for food).
Have your lifts stalled? No still gaining
What is the reason you need this extra "help"? With m-drol i would be able to gain 5kg in 3 weeks. It would take me about 1-2 years to gain that much natural at the rate I'm going right now.

Also I'm 6'2" at 81kg, 22yrs old.

man you sound good bro, i wouldnt be trying them, i would feel lucky if i was you.

I lift weights to improve my body shape and to stay healthy. However I would never put my health and wellbeing at risk to improve my body. That is the reason I will never do 'roids.

I'm not interested in being the next Ronnie Coleman so I don't need them anyway. I think the best physiques are usually achieved by people who are natural. Not necessarily the biggest physiques, but the most balanced and muscular well still looking athletic.

If someone was interested in competing at the highest level of bodybuilding then unfortunately they would have no other choice then to use 'roids if they wanted to be competitive. I do have respect for these guys because they work really hard and it is their life. But it comes as a massive sacrifice to their personal health. I don't however have respect for young guys who use them to try and make fast easy gains. Hard work and dedication is where it's at, and that takes alot of character.

You are right except the top pro's dont just roid on anymore, i have it on good authority it will cost any top 5 pro $50,000 a year to stay competitive just on drugs.
The seventies even though the guys did Winnie and deca, test, the cycles were shorter and the doses smaller. These days there is no layoff or ramping down, a sad realaity of being a freak.

Yeah you're not wrong, I've read similar stories of that amount of money being spent just to be competitive. Even to the extent that some body builders revert to being escorts for men (some even doing gay porn) in order to pay for their drug use. It's just ridiculous that the competitions encourage this sort of abuse. While they may not directly encourage it, through their judging they inadvertanly do.

One upside is the quality of the natural competitions.

Damn it, becoming a gay pornstar, another side effect of steroid use!

Not steroid use but drug abuse. people who use drugs as a lifestyle be in rec drugs or 'roids do whatever it takes to make money to support their habbits.

I think you guys are right. I'm pretty sure there's a vid going around of Ronnie Coleman doing Jay up the butt so they could afford their test to get in shape for the Olympia.

Actually I think it's just plain stupid to compare steroids to other illicit drugs.

Hey coffee is a drug too. Ever see any office workers having a quicky with a stranger on the street at 5am so they could afford the $3.50 for their fix before work?

I know my examples are stupid, but this whole thread has turned stupid. You can't make generalizations about a substance just because it's labeled as a drug.

Not all drugs are the same!

Seriously how many steroid users do you really think have turned to gay porn or whatever to get their fix compared to junkies?

Steroids don't even cost that much. Shit if you really need a fix grab a bottle of m-drol for $25. You might only have to give someone a hand job to get the cash for it.

It's called the "Snowball Effect". A bottle of M'Drol today but that won';t cut it next time so it's M'Drol stacked with Epistane and next time it's d'bols/test/gh/'slin etc etc and eventually it escalates. Granted this doesn't happen to everyone but it does happen and when it does the outcomes can be disastrous.

I don't think i'll ever agree that it's a fair comparison to make.

I'll leave it at that.

I'm going to close this thread. I think enough has been said already and I don't want to see it spiral out of control..
Anything you want to discuss just PM me.

I will re-open but if it gets out of hand i will close it.

Don't take it to heart. What I was talking about was the extreme end of the spectrum. No one ever suggested steroids had anything to do with sexuality, we were just discussing the fact that at the very top end of body building, steroid and other drug/hormone abuse is so prolific that anyone who wants to be competitive has to get these substances, and some will do so by any means available to them.

I've seen your photos and you're doing well, keep at it naturally until you've hit your limit, it will be much more satisfying and people will have more respect for you. Once you get to the top of your natural abilities maybe then you can consider it. All the best with it anyway.

Thanks for the encouragement, but I'm not discussing it any more. Said everything that I'm willing to say on the issue.
