Pretty sure the guy in the first vid at 0:47 says "U mirin'?" Haha.

Some strong stuff and good exercises in there.

they aren't powerlifters, don't need to squat to depth. They just get stronger.

Not sure why rugby players would be doing boxing but anyway.

And as if the All blacks can't afford bumpers of a GHR. Poor bastards.

if im correct making a good tackle is like throwing a punch. You have to put your whole body into it. Technique work, plus probably just cardio for fun no idea.

Maybe he was joking about that money part:confused:

There is better technique work for tackling than boxing, like... Tackling.

I think it is for games against south africa.

yea i hadn't watched the video yet, saw it was just for cardio now, but on other rugby videos (non-professional players though) they would use use boxing to teach them how to tackle. makes sense.

Anyway they can't really tackle in the gym can they:p It was just for cardio.

lol south africa thugs

Surely judo or BJJ would be better to teach someone to tackle.

As Dave said though, if you want to practise tackling then practise tackling.

It'd be like Cadel Evans playing soccer to improve his cycling.

^^
This. Boxing won't do shit for tackling compared to just tackling.

^^ Speaking from experience?

As i said, throwing a punch is like making a rugby tackle. If you have never tackled or thrown a punch you won't understand.

Before i viewed the boxing part i said it might be for technique work, i was wrong. it was just for cardio as there was no technique in the boxing.

Watched documentary about beginner rugby, the coaches (well known english coaches) would get their beginners (no idea how to tackle at all) to do boxing sessions to learn to throw a punch to learn to use the whole body (especially shoulder and hips) to tackle.
