Adding Carbs to Whey Powder

Tonnes of people on here use them, good company. They have protein, dextrose and oats all you need for a bulking shake.

Personally I don't put dextrose in my shakes, just oats and protein, might try it though, but i'm not really a sweet tooth...
 
I would buy one of the Forum Sponsors WPI or WPC protein at around $25-30 per kilo (this is pure protein with no additives only a bit of flavouring), I use both Bulk Nutrients and NoBull Proteins ordered on line and payed with pay pal, generally turns up in about 2 days, then go to a home brew shop or even Big W and buy pure dextrose and/or maltodextrin and add what aver amount you want.

For a mass gainer better than any commercial one on the market I would combine 3-400ml full cream milk, 40-50 grams of WPI protein powder, 20-30 grams of dextrose and 20-30 grams of maltodextrin.....adjust to taste. As mentioned before you can also buy and add powdered oats, or you can try making your own by blending normal oats in a food processor if you could be bothered...

I used to buy the commercial stuff as well from the supplement shops, I don't any more, just buy the pure stuff, you can also order and add pure BCAA's, aminos etc etc at a fraction of the cost.....and no I don't work for either company, I am just a very satisfied paying customer:)

I still don't get why anyone would add sugar to there shakes. Eating your carbs is so much more satisfying.
 
for bulking, how much carbs (in powder form) should you add to a protien shake (also in powder form)
Is there a ratio? I just thought I should go half protein, half carbs but im not sure :confused:
It's pretty simple. Use the amount of powder that helps you achieve your required caloric and carbohydrate intake needs if you can not meet your daily requirements with whole food.
