    Unracking the Bench Press

    Heard a P.T. teaching a noob the three big lifts. I heard him say never unrack the bar yourself when Benching as its bad for your shoulders. He told him to always get a spotter to lift the bar off/up to the start point. Is unracking the bar yourself when Benching bad for your shoulders?

    So I often to have a training partner and cant get a lift off when I'm benching. Previously this was fine as I was benching with a much flatter back and not so far forward. Since I changed to a bigger arch which resulted in me setting up further forward I have struggled to unrack. Anyone got any...
