    Sumo Deadlifts on Leg day???

Anyone tried Sumo Deadlifts on Leg day as part of a BB routine? When you think about it, a Sumo Deadlift (or a "Powerlifting cheats Deadlift") takes out a lot of the Back and works the Legs and Glutes more. Bit like a Jefferson Squat but not as awkward.

    Stretching

Stretching, I don't like it, I think it's a waste of time, the only time I like to stretch is when I wake up, it feels good, it's relaxing. stretching is crucial, one of the key components to properly performed exercise, some provide a good "pre-stretch" while some don't, I think I'll list some...

SCIENCE & HEALTH Champion Rope Skippers' Speed And Stamina

Want to make it in the double dutch big leagues? Better not skip leg day. Or arm day. Or anything day. Because everything about this sport looks immensely difficult. There’s something deeply unnerving about watching someone’s lower body move at an inhuman speed with metronomic regularity while...

Getting a sore lower back post leg day

Hey all, Been getting a bit of a sore lower back post leg day for the last few months, it hasn't been anything major but painful enough to present me with difficulty lifting everyday objects. By the time I get to my second lot of a deadlifts for the weak the pain is gone, usually lasts 3-4 days...

    Pre-fatigue discussion

We know what it is. when we do multi joint movements the smaller muscle fatigue before there is any real inroad to fatigue of the larger muscleture in the exercise, hence doing multiple sets. as an example; (primary larger muscle) the press; (triceps) pre fatigue the delt's with a lateral...

Building legs without squats or presses

This is yet an experiment within an experiment. Most of you are aware of what I'm doing in my training journal, and that I no longer squat..., or do any leg pressing/lunging movements. So the question is this: do you think I can build my legs to a respectable size (or at least to their former...

    Routine Critique Please!

M 181cm 83kg Hey, I have been doing a basic PPL for a couple of months inconsistently but now as my schedule is tighter the time is too much. My new routine is based on Stronglifts 5x5 with added accessories. Goal is a balance of strength and aesthetics. Also on a slow bulk. Current 1RMs...

    Funny gym incidents.

Once upon a time my gym buddy quit going to the gym. So I was a lone wolf. I stumbled into the Cheap and purple gym near my old work like a lost sheep. Reluctantly, after my warm up I decided to do weights because no one should be a cardio bunny. I knew their needed to be a balance. So I sat...

    transferrin

Does anyone know about bloods? This is my iron section. My teacher who is training in nutrition feels I have a lot of symptoms of anaemia but the only thing out of wack is transferrin. How do you get this in your diet? My research says that it's supposed to be formed in the liver...

Does this happen to anyone else?

Over the last week I've been going to the gym (most days) and working out (mainly weight machines such as the assisted pull up, leg press, seated row... etc) and when I get home I have my breakfast (typically a home made potato or pumpkin soup). After about half an hour after I've eaten I've...

    Broken rope

Just thinking about T-dog (tilt) and his fall. Is it worth taking risks when working out? why do we workout? As an example. we know that the squat is a productive exercise but carries a risk of injury as opposed to a leg extension. ill just leave it there, what's your thoughts on the...
