    Flu shots 2013

exactly. I'm 30 and I've had the flu only once. lots and lots of colds, lots of sinus infections, bronchitis once or twice, but flu only once. based on that and the fact that it's not the sort of virus that kills you unless you're very young, very old or otherwise compromised, i can't really see...

    WPI from EBay??

no bull supplements sell through their website too, not just ebay. I have used them in the past, and aside from some very, very minor quality issues (flavourings not totally mixed through) they were fine. I alternate between no bull, professional and bulk nutrients.

    Feeling spaced out during cut

cals seem fine to me. OP needs to man up a little. I'm guess they have done something like cut lots of carbs and not upped salts and water or something. what are your macros? source: i'm 90kg, 186cm, 15-20%ish and i eat at 1800cals to lose less than 0.5kg/wk. any lower and it's unsustainable...

Anyone game to say how much PEDs help your performance?

As a reference, in the 90s and 00s when cyclists were at the heights of their doping (when EPO was undetectable and blood doping wasn't checked) the top climbers had Watts/kg (ie power to weight ratio) between 6.4 and 6.7. now, things are a hell of a lot cleaner than they were (either they're...

Choline/Inositol - How Much To Take?

i take choline as a nootropic/noot support supplement and for me it's a delicate balance - not enough and i get headaches but too much all at the same time causes me to get brain fog. too much is a single hit of 500mg and some dietary sources (2 or 3 eggs) all at the same time. 100mg/day is ok...

    ITBS anyone had it?

i wasn't lifting at the time so it was just a case of treatment and reducing workload. a few small changes and mine cleared up within a month

    ITBS anyone had it?

yeah, i had it a few years ago. really tight, irritated itb and some muscle imbalances causing patello-femoral syndrome (basically, one of my muscle groups was pulling my kneecap in a way that it shouldn't causing a lot of knee pain). it was brought on by doing too much at the same time - i was...

    Back operation tomorrow

with no private, i guess it sounds like you HAVE to run the gauntlet of physios to find a non-surgical solution while you either wait out the public list (in which case the op will be pretty much free) or while you wait for your 12 month "pre-existing condition" period to lapse on your new...

    Back operation tomorrow

not good news. how big is the bulge? my advice: explore all your options prior to surgery - you want to avoid it if other solutions exist, but once all other options are exhausted then accept it because it usually works. this means jumping through the hoops with your regular physio and maybe...

A quick tour of our factory

interesting stuff. how about the nootropics? i assume that stuff is manufactured o/s and then packaged locally? what about some of the nootropics that are available in tablet form - do you cap them yourselves?

    Back operation tomorrow

Know exactly what you mean, guzzla. My instances of pain have fortunately been intense but few and far between until the last few days. This week has been terrible - find a position where it does hurt too much and stay there for as long as possible. Oh yeah, and the sneezing thing, totally...

    Back operation tomorrow

good news. what is that - like 10 days til you're back in the pool? hope my wound recovers that quickly... my operation is happening this monday (the 18th) and today was unfortunately the first day that the pain has been severe enough to keep me away from work. seriously, when i couldn't raise...

[Movie] Fast Furious 6 Official Movie Trailer Released

i watched tokyo drift a few months back - so long as you could ignore the plot, the cheesy dialogue, the acting, the cgi, the cars and the driving, it was quite enjoyable. i say that as a lover of almost all things japanese. had it not had a few nice locations, faithful set design and some...

    Back operation tomorrow

that's fucked. so much work and rehab done and now you have to do it again. your pain sounds so much worse than anything i'm putting up with so condolences - i'm down to only getting occasional "can't move for the pain" episodes every few days, limping and restricted movement for a few minutes...

    Lower back pain

laminotomy: since they're removing bone-mass from the vertebrae there is some loss of integrity, but it's supposed to be minimal and manageable. ongoing physio and maintenance work is unchanged - i have to do the same shit to prevent disc degeneration as i do to protect the compromised...

    Lower back pain

laminoscopy which is a key-hole laminotomy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laminotomy tldr: drill through the vertabrae and scrape away bone from the S1 nerve root tunnel to relieve the pressure. i have an 8.5mm bulge at L5-S1 and it's nailing the shit out of the s1 nerve root - direct hit so...
