    Post Training - Protein Shake or Low Fat Chocolate Milk

    Hi all, I have read that low fat chocolate milk is just as good as having a protein (powder) shake after a workout. If this is the case, why spend $$$ on protein powders.

    Hey bud, I find taking a garlic supplement helps. I usually take garlic over winter and I find it helps with keeping the colds away.

    Probably the protein shake, maybe cut back a little if you're having too many during the day. But different things affect different people, so all you can do is experiment until you find the cause. Cheers, Mike P

    Thanks Morgan. I just finished a tub of my favourite protein, Dymatize Elite Fusion 7 (strawberry). I would usually have a serving before retiring, however since I ran out I've been taking the BCAA's.

    Training/nutrition for older guys

    agree....a good check up is absolutely necessary. I had mine just before I started lifting again, which was about 5 months ago and the Doc gave me the all clear, however he did advise to go easy to begin with.
