    Punch Bag workout?

Barwon, I don't do set punching bag workout, I just start punching - get into a rhythm for a couple of minutes, then stop for a break. I like it because I feel it gives me core strength. That is, instead of working individual muscles, you are using a combination of them, so that they work...

    Muscle through Meditation

When I was a young bloke, I remember reading in 1 or 2 muscle mags, that you can get bigger muscles by concentrating and doing the excersises with no weights. I think this was a "filler" to sell the mags and possibly only suitable for people about to compete, where you need the blood to rush...

Buntu, Good to have you onboard.:) Look... if you are just wanting to get some muscles happening, then eat and lift weights. To start with, just get the basic excersises happening. Chest, arms (bicep & Tricep), shoulders, back & abs. By doing squats for your legs, this will help give core...

    Workout help.

Maybe try mixing it up. If you want to build muscle = more weight. Try doing cardio on the weekends, doing the weights during the week. Doing just your chest is not enough. You need to do arms, shoulders, back, abs, & legs. If you are finding that you are not losing weight at the moment, you...

    training progression on biceps

I remember watching the Biggest Loser a few months ago, and the winner did a biceps pose, and sure he had bicep muscles, but he was all flabby under the arms ie. triceps. Yep, you must work your triceps as well.:) Apparently for day to day living, we use our triceps more than the biceps. More...

    Gym temp

Air conditioners should be set at 22 to 23 degrees at all times. This depends on where the temperature sensor is placed within the building and lots of other factors, but the 22 to 23 degrees is what it should be. MightyTriby

    My workout routine

Sara, It sounds like you might be working too hard, If you are trying to build muscle, then heavy weights, low reps. If you are wanting to loose weight, then low weights, high reps. It sounds like you are doing alot of exercises, with all the running. Are you getting your desired results...

    bicep curling

You might be curling your wrists at the same time. Try and hold the weights with your hands in straight alignment with your forearms. When you raise the weights up, keep your wrists locked. This may help.:) MightyTriby

    Dumbbell Advice

Terrabyte, My advice would to get adjustable ones. The ones I have are the York Rubber ones. In the pack, you get 2 spin lock bars and 20kgs of weights. The beauty of these is that, I can add weights too it, the bars are standard size, because they are rubber coated, they won't break the floor...
