5/3/1 are the absolute minimum reps for wendlers program anyway. When starting you should ideally be hitting something like 12/10/8 reps in the first cycle, and striving for minimum rep drops in the following cycles aiming to keep reps high for as long as possible. Anyone who thinks it's a low...

Straps/Wrist Supports - what do you use?

I get mine on eBay for around $10. The tail loop ones are pretty much all the same.

Straps/Wrist Supports - what do you use?

I've done that twice in the last couple of months, fucking annoying. Lucky they're cheap. You'd think someone would hand them in, but to have the nerve to then use them in the gym, that's another level.

    Cycling hates

Rego for riding a bike? What's this country coming to ? Didn't you guys grow up riding bikes, imagine jumping on your bike to go to the corner shop, not only do you have to remember to put on your helmet, but you also need a photo ID, put rego on top of that and it pretty much negates the...

    Strength Training

Do a search on Alex Viada, of Complete Human Performance. He is all about hybrid training (powerlifting, running, cycling) and has some examples on his site. The guy's a beast.

    The Viability of My Lifestyle

What Repacked and C_T said. You don't have to kill yourself every workout, you just need to progress over time. Stop going to failure on every single set. If you're so banged up, stay at least a rep or two clear of failure and stop doing shit that hurts, there's plenty of movements to choose...

Lunchtime gym goers, what are your eating habits?

I used to fast till just before 12 when I'd train and have a 20g protein shake. These days I have about 4 hard boiled eggs about mid morning. Still train at 12ish.

What is harder for you? Going to the gym regulary or eating enough?

Training is never a problem. I really don't understand how someone could not eat enough. My problem is the opposite, especially when NOT in a fat loss phase, I could always eat more.

Eric Helms - The Muscle and Strength Training Pyramid series

Helms has been around for a while and always puts out good quality, no bullshit information. His series on nutrition is probably the best out there and should be mandatory viewing for anyone in the iron game. Looking forward to the rest of the training series.

Whats been happening at PTC Sydney 2015

Some strong lifters there man. I'm especially impressed by the girls. They should go for a session at a commercial gym and demorolise all the bros lol

    Back operation tomorrow

Haha, cheers man, glad I'm not the only one with rusty bars. I've been reading around and some people spray wd40, but you would probably have to do it quite regularly.

    Back operation tomorrow

Hi taurus, firstly, great physique and crazy training mate, well done. Got a question for you about your outdoor gym. I recently relocated my gym (power rack, bench, bars and weights) from my garage to outside under a pergola. The stuff is starting to rust, especially the bars. Do you have this...

    Sheiko

Thanks for the reply. I currently do a second volume day for squats anyway, so think I'll be right to jump right in. I'm sitting at 83kg, so thought I'd jump in and do the over 80kg program from the sheiko site, which from a quick glance doesn't look too different from the old #37, #31, #32...

    Sheiko

Has anyone ever run sheiko with front squats as their main squat move? Do you reckon you could just sub front squats in for back squats or would you also recommend some other changes to the program. I'm currently running 5/3/1 but I'm getting frustrated trying to hit rep PRs on the front squat...
