    Ausbb Novice Workouts First 2 months

    I am 2 weeks in on picking up free weights for the first time in my life. 1RM - No idea when you start. I am doing a modified version of StrongLifts5x5 and find it "easy" to introduce me to strength training.

    I'm a noob, I have nfi what that means. Let's say I achieve my goal 100kg body weight - what does that equate to what I should be able to lift to be deemed "legitimately strong" ? How many people on here (who have been lifting for less than 2 years) are legitimately strong?

    First CrossFit Study: It Works Wonders, If You Can Survive

    ^ why I chose not to do CrossFit. I went to the free trial session and just watched. Not at all keen on becoming a part of the high rep poor form just to complete the WOD crap. What I saw put me right off Crossfit for good. This was at a box where friends of mine frequent and recommend.

    ^ this. SL is not something that I would expect to continue to do always, but merely an introduction to lifting heavy weights, building lean muscle, burning fat and setting me up for future programs that will further develop my physique. For the moment - can't go past it for what it is. Cheers.

    130kg at 183cm tall 1st June this year. currently - 119.3kg. I have previously had an absolutely appalling diet. KFC, Chips/Potato Cakes/Egg & Bacon Rolls...No breakfast ever, drank no water ever, heavy smoker, high amounts of coffee daily.... So yeah - I need to learn how to eat correctly ;)...
