It's exactly what I said, you agree with my point yet your first instinct is to disagree with me no matter what I post. That's why we go through all this bullshit. Just look at your reply.

You seem to be completely missing the point or refuse to admit it. I don't think there's anything to be gained by flogging this horse any longer.

Haha. I say we are agreeing.

You disagree. Haha. Could you prove my point any better.

Do you apply your same warped logic to javelin or archery?

C'mon Bozo, you can do better than this. That statement has about as much validity as the 'well, should we ban trucks now..?' line the brains trust here has spruiked.

Sport shooting is a practical use. It would be a bit hard to shoot clays without a shotgun. Do you apply your same warped logic to javelin or archery?

fuck me, a practical use means that it can be used in everyday life to do things. i.e a knife has the practical use of cutting food.

sport shooting is not a practical use lmao. jesus.

the only practical use a gun has is to hint or protect yoursels, why? because it is designed to kill.

really not very clever are you bozo? i think most of your replies as copied from elsewhere as half of them i have seen on facebook at some point.

Do you do your shopping in a sports car? Drive to work in a speedboat? Use steroids to get stronger?

I really don't see where this is going. Does any sporting equipment have a 'practical purpose'?

Would you accept my ownership of firearms for hunting for pest control and food a 'practical purpose?' No doubt you'd come back with some rubbish about how all meat should be bought from supermarkets and people should be paid huge amounts of money to shoot feral animals

Accept that there are legitimate reasons to own and use firearms that don't involve killing people. Why are you so scared of them? Did someone point one at you or shoot you?

The only lack of cleverness I'm seeing is the deliberate trolling, abuse and thread derailing by those with no actual point to make.

as always you completely miss the point or warp it beyond recognition.

guns have no practical use outside of killing, end of.

you have even confirmed it by listing pest control and hunting as your pracitcal uses for a firearm. which are killing.

stupid strikes again

"why can't you accept that you are ever wrong? Seriously can't tell if your account is purely for trolling."

lmfao is all i can say to that.

How would you word it?
If you limit wording all together it goes something like this:

  • kid plays soccer in street
  • tomahawk hits his house
  • parents killed
  • kid hates west
  • kid wants revenge
  • hardliners give him comfort and way for revenge
  • kid is ready to carry out revenge

what do you call him?

If you read what I wrote I said there is truth in it; undoubtedly chickens coming home to roost is an element in the rdicalisation of some people. However, unfortunately what Baz and yourself have managed to do is reduce a complex situation with roots in tribalism (Sunni/Shia), religious interpretation/politics (secularism vs Islamism) among others factors, to one thing - revenge. Also successfully generalised that an entire region with a population of roughly a quarter of a billion is full of people who are either looking or an excuse to become a terrorist, or whose ethics lead them there as they feel it is a justified course of action. Maybe, just maybe, there's a little more to it...

Psychologists call it "transferance". He is transferring his intentions onto your behaviours ie. he does it so he thinks you're doing it.

At this point I really can't tell. I'm sick of refuting your strawman fallacies, offtopic comments and personal attacks. If you don't have anything to say other than "waah guns are for killing people" just stop posting.

its a strawman fallacy that guns have no practical use outside of killing?

oook.....do you even know what a strawman falacy is?

oh and FYI i said killing, not killing people. still not learnt to read have you?

Again you just have to disagree with me despite agreeing with me.

There is more to it than my two sentence example. Lol. No shit.

Now you are trying to change what I said. I didn't say that all in the Middle East are waiting to become terrorists. My point was why I don't believe bombing them is going to change the current cycle of terrorism.

You really need to stop trying to change what I am saying so you can disagree with me.

Haha. I say we are agreeing.

You disagree. Haha. Could you prove my point any better.

No Baz, what you really said is below -

It's exactly what I said, you agree with my point yet your first instinct is to disagree with me no matter what I post. That's why we go through all this bullshit. Just look at your reply.

Don't disguise 'agreeing' with furthering the argument by saying that I have to disagree with you. That's schoolyard games and the type of technique you rely on.

If you were genuinely saying we are agreeing you would have written 'I agree', or 'yes, we are agreeing'.

I meant throughout the entire thread.

Going by your own logic, are compound bows designed to kill?

Not all firearms are designed for a 'practical' purpose, as with many things in our lives.
