They need to be stopped with any force needed - air strikes, ground troops, SAS/commando units - we need strict new laws within Australia that anyone found directly linked to a terrorist organisation, or trying to spread the word etc = life in jail with no chance of parole - if anyone is trying to hurt/harm anyone on the street etc - they should be shot dead on the spot - like they were the other night.

I am not a racist but what is happening around the world is a total joke - England where all my family comes from is being over-run by extremists - they need to be stopped - tough new laws - either removing them from the country, or placing them in jail.

I think Muslims (the large% of them) are good people and I have many Muslim friends - but anyone wanting to have any part of ISIS or anyother movement - needs to be dealt with with the hardest hand of the law or army....there should be no limits we go to, to try and stop this and of course we will have some kick-back - but its like training a dog - they might mis-behave the 1st 5 times you try and train them but they quickly learn whos boss - if they are not willing to learn then they have what they have taken away from them.

So i also noticed you calmed the first beheading by the "fake" ISIS man with the English accent. Do you just claim anything done by ISIS is faked.
WAS THAT A QUESTION? NO QUESTION MARK AT THE END OF IT. IF IT WAS, WAS IT A RHETORICAL QUESTION OR A LEGITIMATE QUESTION? IN ANY CASE, POST #591 With My PC HASN'T CHANGED AND IS THERE FOR ALL TO SEE! YOU HAVE CHOSEN TO IGNORE IT TO SERVE YOUR OWN AGENDA HOPING PEOPLE DON'T READ WHAT I HAVE WRITTEN....GOOD TRY, BUT YET AGAIN, WITH THE WRONG PERSON. MY POSITION ON THE ISIS CRIMINAL AND TERRORIST GROUP HAS BEEN MADE AMPLY CLEAR...STOP ACCUSING ME OR ATTRIBUTING WORDS OR IDEAS TO ME WHICH ARE NOT MINE....DESIST FROM CAUSING MISCHIEF, IT WOULD BE BETTER FOR YOU!

No thanks to haters everywhere, who I would suspect are perceived by this introverts as nothing more than provocateurs. Who knows, some of those "normal" Muslims could be reading some of the hate posts in this very thread and getting the urge to wake up from their slumber. That is why hate would bring more hate. So I urge the mature people in this thread to do their bit by having some useful and constructive conversations amongst ourselves, instead of acting as if this is some fiction movie we're all acting in. My wife was spat at from a passenger sitting in a truck high up looking down at her in her vehicle whilst standing at the traffic light waiting for the green signal. "You fucking terrorist go back to where you come from you bitch!" How would you like that to be done to your wife, mother, sister, or daughter, simply based on the cross or the star of David she's wearing around her neck?! I consider that man to be the luckiest man alive in Australia tonight simply because I was not there or he would have been torn to pieces and I would have been happy to go to jail for it if it was to come to that. Now please tell me D1cko, was that man "normal"? Tough man picking on a lone woman!!!

Wake up people!

Fadi.

Fadi, firstly nowhere in my post did I mention the word Muslim. I said person/people.
I was simply making a statement that sometimes you just don't know where the next potential maniac is hiding.
Obviously nobody close to him saw it coming, even though he was under observation for months.

I already answered that jumble of words you called a question in post 591 with regards to the knife.

You criticize my post for for forgetting a question mark with a post full of caps lock. No need to get angry with me.

I am not accusing you of anything. You keep posting up conspiracy theories, I haven't had to do anything.

I hope everyone realizes that the restraint and dignity that Fadi; has shown in this thread is a true example of Islam and Christianity, as opposed to the NON-Islam example ISIS and the like are showing.

Congratulations on the restraint and dignity you have shown Fadi.

Love it or hate it folks, Islam and Christianity are about Peace and Love and all that. Read the Koran and Bible is you don't believe me.

Restraint. He keeps trying to tell me who and what I hate, with no idea what he is talking about. Then goes on and denies a major terrorist event that thousands where killed in. My definition of restraint and dignity must be different.

Lets all just start throwing hands. My money's on Fadi to clean youse all up! :D

alright peeps , keep ya shit to the shit talking thread , if you aren't interested in the topic then please don't view it

OK. So let me just summerise all this.

This thread is about the ISIL terrorist group, specifically the event where a person's head was removed, given to a child to hold and a picture taken. The picture was then uploaded and distributed on the internet and reported in all major news sites.

The public response to that is understandable disgust. (That was the whole purpose of uploading the image. That's what terrorists do, cause fear and reaction to further their cause.)

The ISIL terrorist group have claimed to have established an Islamic State and their intention is to spread it world wide to create a world wide Islamic utopia. (The words used by ISIL may be different, but I am just trying to summerise things here.)

The controversy in this thread is not that a terrible thing has been done to the dead soldier (an Iraqi soldier I believe, or maybe a civilian who did not support the group or who was of an ethic group that ISIL intends to destroy via genocide) but also the consequences to the child. We can only imagine the damage that would be done to any child in that environment.

Instead, the controversy is that the muslim community claims that the ISIL group are not musilms, or to put it in the words of some commentators, "true muslims".

It has been established by all (I think) on this forum that ISIL does not represent the views of all muslims.

The problem seems to be that while not advocating ISIL views and actions, the muslim community seems to be rather reluctant to outrightly condemn ISIL or similarly motivated groups and individuals.

Examples of that are a lack of clear, unequivocal condemnation of ISIL by the international muslim community. There is lots of hand wringing, embarrassment and "stepping back" but no clear outright condemnation. There seems to be, to the non muslim community, a double standard. I admit, this is all "impressions", but impressions count.

Specific examples of this are a group that were rounded up recently by a police action where specific threats to the public were being planned and/or discussed. The intent was for small groups of individuals to abduct and decapitate random members of the public. The muslim response was a loud and clear indication that the police action was inappropriate. (Pity they did not have some anti ISIL banners at the time, but i digress.)

Another example is the man (dunno why he is always referred to as a "young man", is if that is a legal excuse to behave badly) who attempted to murder two police officers (2 at a minimum, he was running into the station as well) but was shot dead in the process.

The muslim community reacted by stating that he was misrepresented and that judgment on his actions needed to be held back until a full coroners report was finalised. No outright condemnation of his actions. The Victorian muslim spokesman even said on live TV something along the lines of "young people often play up".

The shit stirring on this thread is primarily one member who insists that all sorts of evidence should be ignored. The latest is that the beheading of Foley uploaded by ISIL was fake. (No explaination why they faked it though. Were they keeping him for an end of show makeover revelation?) That his grieving parents were fake. His grieving brother and sister were fake. I guess that there is even less evidence that other stuff happened, like people spitting on women. That was probably fake as well. Right?

I guess we should believe, therefore, that all news and videos regarding ISIL are fake, including the retaliation attacks by allied forces. No? I can't help but notice that there were no accusations of "fake" regarding the terrorist killed by police. Double standards right there. Hey, the guys family are all fake, right? Well, that would be a pretty disgusting accusation against that grieving family, no more so or less than the Foley family, right?

At least it's consistent. The entire muslim world are, in effect, crying "fake" whenever something negative happens in the muslim community. That's the point of this thread. It's the hypocrisy of it all.

Yes, there is shit stirring and accusations and outrageous comments, but so far I only see them emanating from one member.

i havnt watched the beheading video, as if i dont watch it defeats its whole purpose. but i have seen others and there often isnt as much blood as people would expect

That's because they all must be faked to make Muslims look bad.

It seems to me if you hand a firearm to someone, their sense of power increases about 100 fold

"I have no gun, i need to walk over to that guy and hit him repeatedly"

or

"I have this AK here, to kill that guy over there i just need to pull a finger"
