Ok gave it a shot tonight.
Took in to account what others said and only used a half serve.
Put it in the shaker, gave it a shake......wow tasted like absolute arsehole.
After I drank a bit of water to get the vile taste out of my mouth, definitely felt something kick in. Started my warm ups and had one of the most focused ones I have had in a while, and by ones, I mean a shit. Now I know I didn't really need one since I dropped one at work just before leaving to kill the last half hour, and the only thing I ate before was a couple of biscuits and some deli type meat. So my conclusion was the bad taste went in my mouth and smelt like it tasted coming out the other end.
Once that was out the way I did have a decent session, not sure if it was 100% because of the pre, or other factors.
Completely agree with others and the feeling.
I am glad I split the same in to two serves so I can give another crack tomorrow morning so can know for sure if the whole sessions efforts were due to it or not.
