Intra-workout Shakes

Why would you drink that crap? Seriously, you have a dig at guys trying to better themselves taking aminos and what not and you drink caffeine laden garbage.

Lol. You can't detect any sarcasm in those posts??

I have the odd pepsi because I like the taste. I don't convince myself that it's doing me any good. Can't say the same for the guys chugging down expensive aminos and all this other shit during training.

I had a pepsi max during my workout today.

I was super focused, got a great pump, hit PBs. Lol.
Hahaha that's awesome!

I've got another Intra-Workout, I use the 'scientifically' proven 2:1:1 ratio of L-Trance, L-House and L-Dance. Limits muscle breakdown, supports protein synthesis and increases mood/ mental focus.

Truth be known is that they are much much cheaper than a can of Pepsi Max or any other carbonated drink.

You sarcasm is rampant.

Getting cans of pepsi from the supermarket works out at about 40c a can.

So to be cheaper a months supply of the lat3st sup3r bullshit workout supp would have to cost about $12 for 30 serves if someone worked out 7 days a week. Not even close. Lol.

Where talking intra workout not pre. Sipping on some aminos bought in bulk would be no more than a few cents per serve around 5gms

Aminos, especially BCAA's are food your muscles need as soon as possible after a workout.

I have only taken BCAA's starting this week its the BCAA powder from BN 5gram immediately before workout, and 5 grams immediately after workout, I just scoop it into my mouth and wash it down with water, does not taste bad to me and I know I had them.

I feel less sore today then what I usually do and I worked to the same level I usually do, even did a set of squats with a new PB.

So yes I think they work as I was expecting to be a lot more sore today than what I am. I would say they have assisted in my recovery, at around 30 cents for each serving I am happy to pay the money considering how much effort and pain I put into my workouts:)

Were do you think your body normally gets aminos from. FOOD. If you have had a meal or shake within the last couple hours of your workout you will have plenty of aminos and BCAAs running around your system.

Do you people really believe that a workout is going to place your body in a depleted state?

Do you really believe that an hour of medium intensity and I will say medium as most workouts last one hour is going to make a difference?

Now, if your workout was for more than two hours and your intenstiy of work was at 100% of your ability you would be sort of justified, that's if your metabolic system was superior to the rest of us, you'd actually be possibly the one percent of the population.

Possibly, but what if you did not??? Not every ones diet is perfect all the time, I try but no guarantees, and a protein shake or meal costs a LOT more than 5 or 10 grams of aminos.

For 30 cents I am happy to make sure:)

Even if it does nothing apart from making me feel warm and fuzzy inside for the knowledge (or belief) that it does something for me I am still happy to pay 30 cents.:p

Totally agree. Most guys do a couple sets and think they have totally depleted there body. If you have eaten within the last few hours aminos are a waste of time because they are already running through your system from the food you ate.

Big Mick had to give it to you as you put a lot of effort into this conversation and it was a good discussion too. Please send me your details via PM.

All being quite similar and on a first in best dressed basis, Shrek send me your details and I'll send one out to you too.

Definitely some valid points here on both sides of the argument...supplements are 'supplements' to aid a good diet and training, and just like a Ab Roller won't give you abs by itself ;) definitely pertinent that we don't forget this as Bazza20 pointed out.

Thanks guys, look out for the next one.
