PTC version 2.0

if u pause at his lowest point he is below paralell... good squat .. depth would not be questioned in any powerlifting comp.

hip has to be below the knee. Hard to judge from that angle, cos it can be deceptive, but it looks like he's smack bang on parallel, at least from that angle. You really need to see from the side and level to judge it properly.

What happens in competition with people who are physically not capable of getting to legal depth due to their leg/thigh/gut size etc? - you know what I mean, the fat guy who literally cannot get low enough - Are they red lighted or is there an exception made?

I normally squat just on parallel, that squat was deeper than average, I'm pretty sure Sean checked the depth.

Your hip joint should always be able to go below parallel, I don't think your calves and hammies can get that big.

If your gut is too big you can widen your stance or stop being obese.

Or join one of those feds that allow high squats.

No issue with Gareths depth on those 200kg squats, his next 2 attempts were even deeper

Dave did 3 singles with 190kg tonight, raw

Simon cleaned 110kg in thongs and a busted toe

Gareth simply did some openers today, possibly his last heavy session before ProRaw

Squat 205kg - PB
Bench 125kg
Dead 220kg

Totaled 550kg in under an hour

Fat guys (like me) just squat wider. Although its near impossible to be too fat to hit depth. Look at some of the russian monsters who squat almost like oly lifters and are alot bigger then i am. They go deep.

John, your not fat, wait till you see 170kg of Gawain

He has no trouble hitting depth, and he looks like he ate Dave

One of my clients just returned from a 6 month holiday in Europe. He met some interesting people over there, one of them came into PTC tonight with him tonight.

This guy is a filmaker, documentary style. He has been researching PTC since he was introduced to it overseas by this client.

Anyway, he has 2 ideas he wanted to run by me, it sounds promising.

He will actually start filming footage at ProRawOne

Alen and Daryl are starting to regain strength after lay offs

Alen squatted 160kg and Daryl pause benched 110kg

Jack and Johnathon were getting ready for ProRawOne.

Both had their first taste of competition at the PTC Novice comp in mid December.

John totaled 415kg and Jack 440kg. It will be interesting to see how much they've improved in 6 weeks.

Earlier today Jason was in for a session. He told me he squatted 60kg x 20 this week. Today he squatted 70kg x 25 and deadlifted 120kg x 10

First session back from ProRaw. Fat Dave was AWOL.

Dim, Alen, Sean and Jack were in.

Jack is doing a modified PPP. Jack went 160/115/200 on Saturday.

He is now doing the 180/125/220 program, but he is doing each week TWICE in each session.

Tonight he did his 5 work sets for bench successfully, then repeated it.

No assistance, just 10 work sets

Dim is working on bench squats

Alen and Max are training for the rep challenge

Armando was back tonight. He is going to be sore after 6 months off
