for athletic sports, it is also (more?) about recovery (just ask our in-house drug cheat 0ni) rather than sheer size and strength.
I think it is a noble goal to make all of Australian sport 100% drug abuse free or illegal drug-free (completely drug-free is a different matter).
it would be even better if all people involved in sport had the integrity to not try to gain unfair advantage.. but you can't legislate or test for that
Back before testing, it was an issue of trust and integrity.
now everyone is assumed to be a drug cheat, unless tested to be negative...
you could do a cost recovery process, ie, get busted, pay $10K for other peoples tests... but that assumes you will have 10% peopleusing AND getting caught..
maybe now is a good time to buy shares in drug testing labs?
Vonfram, are you involved in either the testing process, or the enforcement/formulation of the rules?
i dont understand how its news to anyone. We've been saying people in tested feds / sports have been on the juice for as long as i can remember.
More importantly is it going to change the lazy consumer give it to me now generation who start taking steroids in their early 20's and have their passion for the iron go hand in hand with their drug use? Probably not but maybe to some extent.
So everyone else except PLs are using?
hey Fluffster, you don't follow AFL/NRL do you. Pretty sure doping has always been a part of AFL/NRL.When you created this thread who would have thought teams in both the AFL and NRL would be embroiled in doping controversy.
wouldn't that be due to the lack of financial rewards in PA. As soon as money becomes a big part of PA like AFL or NRL, doping will become a big problem too, even in PA.Does anyone actually think any of the top PA people are actually using or are people just trolling?

That's speculation- I don't see the point or value in that. I understand that the desire to cheat is linked to incentives to cheat/ but my response is simply to the suggestions earlier in this thread that of course there are drugs or more specifically PEDs in PA. It's easy to cast doubt and its practically impossible to be ensured that anyone is clean- at least to the satisfaction of skeptics- but I'm saying none of the top people are cheats and I personally do not know of any cheats. Hozjan- clean: Baxter- clean: Dave Jame- clean: Ngheip Luu- clean: me- clean. Cheats???? None I'm aware of.wouldn't that be due to the lack of financial rewards in PA. I think these guys and the sporting world are a little different.
I stopped by another forum recently and its quite scary how much of a high % of its userbase thinks PEDs are necessary. Many of whom aren't that impressive strength/physique wise.
I know at least 3 guys that compete in PA that use peptides and one that uses AAS. A few that also use drugs recreationally. This isnt speculation, i actually know them. There is no such thing as a drug free meet
