which barbell row to use

I just wanted to mentiuon that I started out doing 45 degree barbell rows and once I perfected the form I noticed a lot of it in my upper back. I then researched more and found that the oldschool barbell row (pendlay) style works more of the back apparently. I just wanted to know if anybody has had better results with either one? I can't feel anything working when I do the "pendlay" style even after adding more weight. It just feels like it is doing nothing..... I have followed strict form and watched the pendlay video on them a few times to make sure of it.

What are your thoughts

I get better results using bent over row pulling the bat to mid stomach area. Really engages the lats. Try chest supported row if you wanna target the upper back.

Thanks guy! What angle is your back when you do your reps mate? Does the bar path touch your legs on the movement or is it slightly away from your body also

No it does not touch my legs. I try to keep back at 45deg but in reality it is slightly above parallel.
