Honestly, the bar that come with my Powertec package lasted 3 years, it was a tiny bit bent but it still did the job. If your not overly strong at the moment it will hold up just fine but once you get a bit stronger you will need a bar that can handle some serious weight.
What are you current lifts mate (squat, bench, deadlift)?
Thumbs up for Sams fitness. Bought a few bits from them and every time they have been really fast with processing the order etc.
in reality if you stick with it and train for strength you'll be pushing enough to warrant a quality bar inside 2 years.
