i like body part splits , gives me more time to recover and it suits me better

Over the years I alternate between full body, upper/lower and legs/push/pull
But my favourite would be legs/push/pull

At the moment i am doing Upper/Lower and quite enojoying it, but then again i also liked doing single bodypart workouts.

I like to mix between body parts splits and upper/lower.

Some weeks I will do a mix of both. e.g. upper + lower + back/bi + chest/tri + legs.

No matter which method is used I've always preferred to do my workouts in blocks rather than mixing it up through the week.
Say, 3 or 4 months on a particular routine, this way it's easier to gauge the progression and much easier to log.

Upper / Lower, with two of each every week - Squat & assistance, bench & assistance, deadlift & assistance, military press & assistance.

I agree - I generally will do something for a while.

My wife has started training with me though so I have to be more flexible to work in with her, e.g. I've got her on an upper/lower/upper/lower, but she could only make it for lower/upper/lower so i then did 2 days of push/pull seeing I had 2 days spare.

I think it's a good thing that your wife worksout with you

I do upper/ lower 2 or 3 times a week. I've done body splits but waiting a week to hit the same body part seems too long in my opinion.
