Weightlifting Training.

The trainer is Leo Isaac, an old school weightlifter who alongside of Lyn Jones & Michael Keelan are responsible for weightlifting education material.

Sounds like he may have talked himself down.. He was a 1980 olympian for Great Britain and came 9th & 14th at world championships.

Im currently coached by Leo - weightlifting mastermind.

Where do you train underground? Cougers?
I need help with my clean.

Hey mate, I train at North Brisbane Honeybadgers (where Leo coaches).
Training Tuesday & Thursday nights + Saturday mornings. All lifters welcome.

A few things Leo kept telling me was not to worry about how much weight was on the bar....it's the level of proper technique used that counts.

He also said that it takes around 10,000 reps to become a decent lifter. 10,000!!! What's the best way to get those reps done (for those early on I. The game)? Higher reps, working with reps between 3 and 5, with rest breaks of around 2 minutes.

Of course, without proper technique you restrict your potential.

Everything is usually kept under 6 repetitions for the classic lifts.
