Weightlifting mourns: Vasily Alexeev the legend is dead.

Vasily Alexeev was to weightlifting what Arnold Schwarzenegger was to bodybuilding. The giant of a man was way ahead of his time setting 80 world records. Most of us don’t even get a chance to set 80 PBs let alone world records.

Vasily died last Friday 25th of November 2011. He would have turned 70 on 7 January 2012, but that was not his destiny.
