Not sure if i have the terminology right but I want to loose some fat but keep the muscle that I have. Does anyone have any tips or tricks that will assist in this endevour? I have read that usually you can either loose fat and muscle or gain muscle and fat but you cant loose fat and gain muscle. Is this more or less right?

I would minimise cardio and concentrate on diet and weights.
Add some BCAA"s to your supp regime.
Also do not try to loose to much fat too quickly, that's when muscle wasteage can occur.

No, get rep range the same. Nothing should change in your weight training. all you need to do is reduce calorie intake.
Let say you start at 2500 cals, if you can loose between 300-800gms per week then stick to 2500 cals, if you loose more than 800gms you should up your cals by 200-250 if you loose less than 300 cals you reduce your cals by 250.
