Teens stab woman to death prank gone wrong!! The husband of a woman who was fatally stabbed while pursuing a group of youths who had been egging their home has told how he tried in vain to resuscitate her.

Police are today searching a nearby lake and bushland for evidence in connection to the death of mother-of-three Rosa Mercuri, who pursued a group of youths after eggs were thrown at her home in Tunbridge Crescent in Lalor, in Melbourne’s north, last night.

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with manslaughter.

Ms Mercuri's husband Pat said the couple and their 11-year-old daughter Chloe followed a group of five youths in their car, catching up with them in nearby Curtin Avenue before Mr Mercuri gave chase on foot.

He said when he returned he found his wife on the ground, suffering from a stab wound, alive but bleeding.

Police arrested five people - four teenagers and a 20-year-old - in relation to the incident, which occurred at about 8.15pm.

The 20-year-old and three teenagers were questioned over the stabbing but were later released.

FFS a simple thing as an egging has now ruined two families, What the fuck goes through someones mind when they think stabbing someone is a good idea
 
this type of news sucks.. it comes down to parenting in the end.. what values or lack of values you instill in your child determines a majority of things. to many kids these days get away with way to much stuff. bring back the cane!
 
Had a guy on the weekend who has had some problems with my mates brother over the last yr and stumbed on his head early in the night pull a knife on us on the weekend, he ended up running away from us when he sorta saw that we wasnt going to leave it and then got F'd up by the police.

Scary stuff but honestly this sorta stuff happens every weekend in every major city....its sucks that ppl have to do this and not think about things.

No morals or compassion for anyone but themselves. Justice system is way too bloody lenient, they will get a slap on the hand and we will get told that little Johnny had a bad upbringing or some cock and bull story. Put them on a chain gang to fix up the country or let them rot in jail with big bubba washing their back for them.
 
Problem is people take it into their own hands because they know it wont be dealt with... The police say let us dealw ith it but who honestly wants to call the police cause someone threw an egg.

But then again who takes their child and goes chasing them in a car as well?

Seems like missing half the story...
 
Anyone stabs my wife or child. They will wish they died. I'll cut off each finger with a garden shear the ears toes then skin em like a fish and pour salt on it and that's only the beginning
 
'Aparently' the eggers didn't get along with the eggees kids and there were ongoing problems/bullying etc, the parents chasing in the car was obviously the final straw. Talk about backfire though...
 
Why on earth would you pursue them with your 11 year old daughter in the car?? and what was the husband doing letting his wife run after them?? what the hell!??

no excusing what the youths did, but still... what the hell?? i have no idea about vic newspapers but is the Age a reputable paper? or is it the vic equivalent of the telegraph?
 
the age is more business orientated, but like all news services , they rehash crap
