Study on ideal fitness partner

don't need a study to tell us this, major common sense.

the gym is for training, not for gossip...

Hey guys, I just thought this study may be of interest to some. Acording to this study if you've got a partner who blabs maybe it's worth telling him to keep quiet...

Optimal workout partner encourages less to motivate more, says university researcher | Kansas State University | News and Editorial Services

So what experiences have people had with gym partners? Good or bad.

had a great workout partner we used to motivate each other since we were at the same strength level. too bad he changed jobs and had to go to a different gym. Now i just ask for help for some of the regulars at the gym.

Well I can say that I would want a training partner to have an additional motivation. I'm a competitive guy and if one person trains with me side by side, I think I would always push myself harder to have the edge over my training partner. I think that's the only benefit I could get.
