do people really need a spreadsheet to track 3 straight sets of 5, increasing the weight every session?

If people are busy, why wouldn't it be a bad idea? I've got a friend who has never been structured in his fitness AT ALL, and he got a similar thing for his GALAXY SII. Now he looks forward to logging a few extra kilograms in his spreadsheet.
