If so, it's good to hear it. I'm PA, but I agree with your ideas that there needs to be an untested fed and its better (in my opinion) if that fed has good judging.
Our tech officer, Steve Psaltis will be traveling to every state championships to make sure the comps are ran perfectly and that strict judging is adhered to.
Yeah there are 2 decisions that are on the vid, honestly don't know if all the others were passed or not. It's a funny vid though, thats why I linked it =)
Yeah from the live feeds, and vids I've seen from the Raw sections of the ST meets they've been pretty good. So agreed, definitely looking forward to some more good work from those guys.
Have you ever judged some bigger guys Scott? Is it hard to tell depth because of their massive legs, or no difference? Always been curious.
As a front judge, you can't see shit, especially if they are bigger. That's why the front judge isn't allowed to judge on depth..... They will look high 90% of the time.
Even from the side it's much better, that's why there are 2 refs there
banning side cameras doesn't necessarily mean that the squats are not to depth though. The rule was put in place for the shitshow that is multi-ply lifting
