Looking to correct my shoulder imbalance - I got weak side delts.
What are the best exercises, aside from wide grip military press, behind the neck presses, or dumbells with them held out to the side? All of the these hurt my shoulders pretty badly.
It is worth looking into why your shoulders hurt badly whilst doing those movements.
I know the Dan Green shoulder program is:
Day 1 - Standing BB Overhead Press 3 x 5-10 or something like that then DB Laterals 4-5 sets
Day 2 - Seated DB Overhead Press 3 x 8-12 then DB Laterals 4-5 sets
Day 3 - Behind The Neck Press 3 x 6-10 then DB Laterals 4-5 sets
Behind the neck push presses are a staple for me
Push pressing or jerking the weight will still build the delts but not put strain on the shoulder girdle. Simply holding the weight at the top and locking out is enough
Pretty much same here - I don't do much in the way of lateral raises, been doing unilateral upright rows for a while. Even done this way, I'm still a little sus of them too though
