Member

Background
Started lifting 3 months ago, missed one month in there due to illness, before that I had essentially been inactive for many years.

Goals

1) Lose the gut, side photo below is pretty disgusting
2) Get stronger, bench bodyweight by year end with a squat and deadlift to match

Stats

Height: 173cm
Weight: 85kg
Age: 30

Current Lifts
Squat: 85kg (estimate)
Deadlift: 105kg (estimate)
Bench: 60kg

Been out grazing pasture for most of the Winter and condition shows. Still young, and could turn it all around with just a few good runs in this company though. Expect a big run at the finish.

Keep safe.

Time for a 3 month update.

I would have liked to see more fat loss, however I really have been just focused on strength gains which im pleased with so far.

Progress
Weight: +3kg to 88kg
Squat: +32.5kg from 3x10 @ 67.5kg to 3x10 @ 100kg
Deadlift: +35kg 1RM to 140kg
Bench: +10kg From 3x10 @ 47.5kg to 3x10 @ 57.5kg

Time to check in for the last time this year

Although others have had far more impressive transformations this year, I am overall relatively pleased with my progress. I learned a lot about training and diet and feel I am in a good position to really nail it next year.

The mistake I made was only leaving myself 3 months to cut down after 9 months of strenth training, I should have switched up to cutting after 6 months since I had a lot of fat to lose.

My weight started at 85kg, peaked at 92.5kg and finished the year at 83.5kg.

Lifts went from these 1RMS:
Squat: 85kg (estimate)
Deadlift: 105kg (estimate)
Bench: 60kg

And peaked at:
Squat: 135x5
Deadlift: 155x5
Bench: 72.5x5
