Re: The long debate about the mother of 5 killing the old cyclist in Sarina, I was a little offended by the remarks of some as I noticed nobody stated the final facts as to what had happened.
The vehicle did not at one stage come into contact with the bike or the rider, what killed him was the fact that he was going downhill at high speed with little to no working brakes on that bike so when he realized the vehicle was turning into the property he had no other choice to avoid hitting the car other than to crash himself into the gutter on a 45 degree angle about 2 meters in front of the car. Furthermore it was the head injury he suffered from contact with the driveway when he landed that killed him later. This because his helmet was loosely sitting on his head and not buckled up, the helmet was found about 3 meters away on the opposite side of the car. Momentary inattention by the driver is also what contributed to this, but do you really think thats work sending a mother of 5 to jail for? When was the last time you checked all 3 of your mirrors before turning into your house?

Anderson.
