Hmmm I think different things work for different people?
6 meals is fine.
1 meal is fine.
2 or 3 meals is fine.
None of them are superior or better than. It's what is applicable and workable to your lifestyle. As long as your meeting your macros and calorie intake...it doesn't matter how often you're eating?
I eat 2 meals a day.
Lunch and dinner.
I've lost 77kg in 14 months.
It works for me, because I don't like breakfast. I don't eat anything before 1 or 2pm actually. I have never snacked. I work out and do cardio on an empty stomache. I weight train around an hour after a meal.
So I have 2 calorie dense, lovely meals a day.
And as I have issues with eating post surgery, I have a protein shake in addition to my meal, to supplement any shortfalls.
I think we said this in another thread. But the amount of meals you have, is dependant on your own needs.
Some people have higher rep meals, with lower portions.
Some people have lower rep meals, with greater portions.
No one way, is superior. Nor is one way worse. It's dependant on what works for that particular human being.
If someone told me, I had to eat 6 times a day, I wouldn't be able to do it and I'd give up...fast.
Two meals a day, suits me just fine. And always has. I just had to educate myself and know what to, and how much to eat, for those two meals a day.
Low reps, for greater portions.
That's all.
There is no right or wrong. There is only what is right, for you
