Power Rack Help

Aaron

New member
Looking for a power rack and don't have a lot of money to spend.

If something like the BPR02 from Gymdirect (bottom rhs on power rack page) was available second hand for about half price would it be worth grabbing? (pending condition etc)

Cheers,

Aaron.

Certainly, these thisgs are pretty strong and would take a lot of abuse to damage it. Dont worry about the paint, just make sure the safety pins are smooth and aligned and anst make sure the hooks are in good condition also. You can always sand it back and paint it any colour later on.

I've heard that some people just take schematics to a welder and get one made, might end up cheaper considering the markup we pay in Aus. Though if you buy it used it will probably be cheaper anyway.

Seen that on ebay, it was a good buy.

IMO though a powertec is better than a standard muscle motion because its more space efficient and has a higher capacity.

I have a locally welded rack. Being from onesteel its much tougher than anything you could buy in a store but its limited by the imagination of the builder.

If I had the cash I'd probably copy the design of the powertec. With steel from the valley the rack would be practically invincible.
