Do you guys yell “ON YOUR LEFT” when passing other cyclists? Or is there a less common way to let others know you’re there. Coz it doesn’t matter what you say as long as it allows people to learn someone is there. Do you think it’s important to say something?

i guess it all depends of the speed yours and that of the one you pass by. at a relative high (relative) speed a concise "on the left" is from far the more efficient thing...

I try to avoid yelling at people, it's only likely to startle them into doing something that's at best dangerous and a worst unpredictable. Personally I just make sure that I pass with enough clearance not to need to yell at somebody. The traffic laws in most jurisdictions clearly state that it's the responsibility of the following vehicle to pass safely, not the other way around.
