Hey all,
Last week while while performing body weight wide grip chins I had a slight pain in my left shoulder after performing my 4th set. I had managed sets of 5,4,4,4 reps. I had planned for another set but stopped fearing making the the problem worse. Although I then managed to perform my regular sets of BB military presses as normal without any discomfort.
That was exactly a week ago and have had no real discomfort other than a slight twinge the day after initial problem.
I proceeded to perform sets of chins tonight and after my 3rd set had the same pain in left shoulder again. Rather then performing another set of chins I then managed to complete 2 sets on a lat pulldown machine, and had no subsequent pain.
Could it be purely caused by a breakdown in form? Or should I avoid performing them for a week or 2 to allow full recovery then try them again. I dont want to make a small problem now a bigger one by ignoring it.
Sorry for the essay, hope there is enough info to find a solution.
Thanks
