Crossfit: Keeping women hot and men weak
Technique aside... the big issue is you spend too much time piss farting around trying to get good at everything to the point you suck at everything. It could be months between heavy lifting attempts, no real progression etc.
You will notice that no one starts in crossfit gets good at it, it's typically people who are either very strong or very fit that actually do well. I think in Adelaide it's close to 1500 a year to train...
Get stronger, get faster, get fitter. That order.
Are you doing crossfit?
I ask because you seem to know a lot about everything, do you own a gym as well?
It's definitely better than a lot of programs people do at your average gyms.
But it's not ideal for anyone who wants to specialise in anything and the WOD thing lacks any structure or programming to your training.
Ok well I'll ask you guys this? have you ever tried a WOD and compared it to the times of others on there? obviously you won't be very competitive in your first go (probably) but you have to respect the fitness of some of the people who do it?
