Soooo, I'm gunna have a sook.

Well, my heart is as healthy as an 80yo man - cardiologists words.
He gives me metoprolol. I now get the runs every morning, YAY.
Go and get my skin checked, I have cancer on my nose.
I'm almost completly deaf in one ear.
I'm going grey, really grey, at 22.
I have osgoud schlatter in my knees.
My eyes are shit, and need glasses.
My test is low.
I have varocus veins in my balls - causing a dull pain, constantly.
I can't grow a mo - that would fix all my problems.

I'm seriously getting down on this shit. Every time I go and see a doc they find something else wrong.
What sucks most, their are people way worse off than me. **** that!

I'm gunna chuck a sickie and go for a ride. It always clears my head.

Looks for teaspoon + concrete.

I have osgoud schlatter in my knees.

This one makes no sense. osgood-schlatters is due a few factors centered around growth spurts. One is the change in bone at around the growth plate and the second is the lengthening of the bones and slower to catch up lengthening of the quads creating more pull on the bone that is changing (it is weaker at this time). You are 22 and are well past this stage SO that is why you should not have osgood schlatters unless you have an unhealed condition from about 14-15 years of age.

Whats wrong with your heart?

That's what the doc said I had when I was a teen. The pain is in the same spot still, just never went away.
I have an electrical problem in my heart, needs an ablation.

You do not have osgood anymore, its just some people get knee tenderness pain afterwards in the tuberosity. Nothing dangerous just annoying.

The heart part sucks man, do you know what the exact condition is called?

I am not even going to talk about the cancer, hopefully that is over and done with.

Sticky,

Apart from the heart condition and bad balls I could lay claim to that entire list too. Funny thing is I consider myself to be in top health. The scar on my nose is still healing from having my BCC cut out a few months back. It was recurrant so they went deeper and longer this time.

Dodgy knees come with the weightlifting game, but I got mine from 15 years of tae kwon do just like my busted knuckles and little finger.

My hearings gone in both years from 10 years in the Artillery as a GRes officer. My wife gets angry with me sometimes when I don't hear her, but she's getting used to it now.

My eyes are also pretty crap so I wear glasses at work.

Going grey and low test is part of life, but I am 40 so it would suck to have had those earlier.

I've also got liver function problems that almost cost me life insurance recently. Double to triple the safe range apparently.

All just par for the course.

This body of mine is the only one I've got and I think its top notch. Can't wait to hit the gym again and make it that little bit better! ;)

Chin up mate, every day above ground is a good one.

Cheers,
Mike

Yeah but you set a National Powerlifting Record Scott, not many can claim that.

look for the positives big fella

Not set M, broke all 3 :p

I'm good now :).
I woke up, had the flu, sore balls then got a call about the cancer. It just snow balled from their and got me down.

Left work at as soon as I posted this and jumped on my road bike. Done 350kms through the hills, and hit some loooooong straights.
Riding ALWAYS make me happier and puts things into perspective.

Deadlift time! :)

You havee hormonal problems yeah?

Tetsosteorne is directly related to heart health and muscle mass..

Tell me what is a heart?? A ****ing muscle...

Didnt they explain this too you?

add me on msn s12driftkid@hotmail.com

There is alot of shit going wrong and alot of it would be linked and i would like to talk to you more about it.

There is something wrong, if you look into what eye degeneration and cancer have in common is oxadative stress... Like rust in a car... This time your eyes are rusting.

MSN me and i will do what i can to help or at least help you find someone who is alot more qualified then i am to help you.

I bet the cardiologist didnt even speak to you about food consumption? No of course not his job is to write scripts...

Its ok mate hang in there.

Cheers noobs.
I'll fire up the comp later an add you, just about to head down to the man cave :)
The Dr. didn't ask about food, just banned me from booze as I was drinking WAY to much 2-3 cartons a week.
Sober for 8 months now :)

Noobs, how long has it taken you to gain your level of knowledge?

Well My knowledge is very limited, I only know what i know through self research...

I remember not knowing what a squat was 2 and a half years ago at the gym..

In regards to knowledge of health just read and research... I have alot of health issues so i am constantly watching doccos reading books research ect to gain knowledge so i can help fix my problems.. THats what got me interested in the field, then my uncles cancer and my hormone problems as well ect...

If depends on your drive, im passionate about what i want to do. I know nothing but i have the rest of my life to make up for that...

Cheers noobs.

Good work its not the end though in the mean time up your antioxidants especially around training so take vitmain c with your shake as oxadative stress is the cause of free radicals and they are the cause of majority of our problems... atp production how energy is used is a cause of this process.. so aerobic activites and even anerobic increase metabolic funciton and increase this cycle so the demands for antioxidants are much higher for athletes...

People can be marcho and manly all they and not care about what they put in their bodies or how they live, but until they get sick or someone they care about does they wont give a shit...

You're putting it to good use.

It's a sad state when you know more than your Doctor!

I suppose, in their defence, medicine is a specialist field. If you've been studying a particular area for ages you would naturally become well versed in it.

Medicine is learning how to prescribe a pharmacutical drug to a disease.. That is their jobs for somereason people assume dr's are knowledgable on health when in fact all they mainly know is disease states and what drugs to give people for that...

I would rather focus on keeping people healthy and not sick to beggin with rather then fixing a problem (or trying to and failing like they do) that has occured...

Allopathic medicine is awesome if your about to die tomorrow... However lifestyle and chronic disease they fail at because they dont understand exactly why or how it happens and how to prevent it but this is what people turn to them for.

You dont get cancer because you didnt get enough chemotherapy through yourlife the picture is bigger... Cutting out cancer doesnt change the basic metabolic problem that caused it in the first place.

The sooner people realise this the better

dont know if this is the right thread to be posting this is but here it is any way.

Has anyone here been right into a routine making awesome progress then gone away for a little bit and broken that routine, while away stuffing your face with everything, then when you get back u feel bloated fat and sluggish?

I am right now just wondering how long it may take to get back to where i was before i left, and i have also had heart burn i think it is anyway for the last couple of days.

Just got the pathology results back from the biopsy they took from my nose.
I have squamous cell cancer. It's fairly aggressive, and they are booking me in for plastic surgery asap.

Fark yeh! :(.
