THE Commonwealth agency in charge of tackling global poverty has experienced a blow-out in executive staff, numbers soaring from 335 to 852 in just five years. A spokeswoman also said the actual "ratio" of executive staff has dropped - from 57.5 per cent to 55.8 per cent - between June 30 2007 and June 30 2012. And an "independent" review of aid in 2011 also recommended that AusAID "be provided with increased resources to manage effectively the increasing aid program", the spokeswoman said.
