Mike Tyson Training and Diet

Rugby88

I have Ep1c Calendar kunce
At the age of 16 Mike’s father died, thankfully the legendary boxing coach Cus D’Almato took him in and nurtured him as a son. At that age Mike was bigger than most of his peers, weighing between 80 – 90 kilos. When he started training for boxing and weightlifting, he followed a strict nutritional plan consisting of large amounts of food used to endure long punishing workouts. His diet consisted of 3000 – 4000 calories of carbohydrates and protein to help him increase his muscle mass. His nutrition mainly consisted of pasta and rice, and for breakfast he enjoyed with juice and fresh fruit. His protein intake was high, consisting mainly of large amounts of chicken and beef. A good example of his typical diet is the following:BREAKFAST: Oatmeal with milk. Vitamins.
FOOD: Rice and chicken breasts. Orange juice.
SNACK: Protein shake and bananas.
DINNER: Pasta and steak. Fruit juice.
Tyson occasionally skipped his diet because he loved ice cream and chocolates.

His daily routine consisted of 2000 squats, 500 triceps extensions, 500 pushups, 500 shrugs with 30 kilos and 15 minutes of neck exercises. But this was only part of his strength training. He also performed about 2 hours of daily aerobic exercise and between 10 and 20 rounds of sparring and training in the ring. An example of his daily routine includes the following:- 4:00 am: 45 minute run.
- Morning: 10 to 20 rounds in the ring.
- Afternoon: 2000 squats, 500 pushups, 500 triceps extensions, 500 neck crunches and 15 minutes of other neck exercises.
- After dinner: Cardio (Bike, rope…)
- Evening: 45 minutes of technical training.
As we can see, the training routine and diet that Mike Tyson followed is not feasible for everyone, it requires great discipline and dedication. Some say that to become a legend, you have to be crazy. The Iron Man had the necessary madness that made him the most feared fighter of his era and a myth for boxing and sports history.

Maybe they're talking about the aerobics squat, you know, no weight, feet like a duck and half way down?

I would say it would be bodyweight/maybe holding a plate in a circuit style training set up - def possible he was one driven mofo....
