Lance Armstrong's Teammate Tells All - 'The Secret Race'

Because Armstrong & his management had a long history of evading authorities, paying off organisations to retain his titles & sidestepping all doping charges for so long. Team mates, peers, other management & his competition must have just gotten sick of it over a period of time?

He is one of the highest earning, most heavily sponsored & celebrated athletes of our generation. Accolade upon accolade for being the best at his sport, superhuman, overcoming illness & adversity & winning 7 TDF titles. An incredible feat. People would resent that anyway. But for the hoards of people who KNOW he cheated the whole time?? Musta rustled their jimmies no end. lol

He was a cheat, a fraudster and a dealer.
He should man up and come clean.
 
Wow, I just saw on the news that Lance Armstrongs name & achievements are to be struck from the sporting history books & he was told 'You deserve to be forgotten'

sucked in to lance armstrong.. and to anyone who get caught that cheats to win... its prevalent in every sport and it needs to stop.... if you willingly cheat and are caught prepare t oaccept consequences, theres no honour left in the world.

Not the same all.
There are untested FEDS in BB so drug takers are free to exploit this.
There's no such FED in cycling (not that I'm aware if anyway).

I know people in oz athletics... the shit they have taken\still taking over the years is unbelieveable..
 
there has been a few cyclists that have recieved "light" sentences for drugs ,
last one was contador who recieved a 2year ban for having drugs in his system, even when he claimed it was from tainted meat from spain

In the grand scheme of things , while it might tarnish the name of cycling i suppose it goes to show that no matter how many years pass or what sort of name you have made for youself , sooner or later you will get caught out and your record scrubbed from the books
 
UCI has had a press conference stating that Lance has officially been stripped of his 7 titles, banned from the sport for life & he has been ordered to pay back millions of dollars in TDF prize money. The UCI spokesman apologised on behalf of the organisation for not being able to find & hunt down every one of these cheats & strike them from involvement with the sport. He also stated that the sporting history books would be stripped of Lance Armstrongs achievements & stated that Armstrong is a disgrace & deserves to be forgotten.

They are awaiting a response from the Armstrong camp, particularly in reference to the millions of dollars they've requested he pay back. At the end, the reporter said millions more dollars may be owed as sponsors & organisations who have provided support for him over the years, move to sue him and recoup their investment in a man who lied to everyone & cheated his way to fame.

Oh it's getting messy now :/

Could easily argue that the sponsors have had their return on investment so call it square.. they would have made far more than they have paid him...
 
He is going to get fucked up in the media. Some of this is not going to totally fair considering pretty much all his competitors we almost definitely on the gear as well. Lance is the most famous and going to cop most of the heat but if you clearly cheat in the sport you can't really complain when you get caught and shit starts to happen.

Agree Bazza. Everyone is out for blood now. An example is being made & a precedent for the future being set.

Still, there is a part of me that feels for him. Its about to get very messy.
 
AS far as i'm concerned he still won... There is a continuum between taking supplements like zinc and 'Performance enhancing drugs' ... I'm all for athletes taking whatever they want in the name of providing televised entertainment...... I can't be the only person who thinks this 'isn't that big a deal' ??

(then again, I probably wouldn't notice if televised sports disappeared entirely)
 
At the end of the day he won no matter whether they have taken the titles away or not... And he beat a bunch of other riders who were doing the same thing... Is it right no...
