True that. Still, out of all the 'users' he was the best of the bunch I guess lol

Bless him. Its all unravelling pretty quickly. They named a list of around 10 other sponsors who are expected to drop him this week. And some Aussie dude who was on the cycling board (whatever its called) & was a teammate of Lance's back in the day, was stood down today as well, based on this report & his admissions of drug use.

Its a fragile deck of cards...
 
Still even with the EPO, he was an amazing athlete, the doping dosent give you the mental toughness and drive to succeed that he has...


Oh and on the Nike thing... They also sponsor sprinter Justin Gatlin, convicted doper.

Haven't had a chance to read through that PDF right now, but it makes me wonder why these people giving sworn testimony are crawling out of the woodwork now to spill their guts, not when he was supposedly cheating and taking titles from worthy runners-up...

It seems more like a case of "he said/she said" rather than actual proof (though conspiracy of that scale is hard to believe, granted).

I know of some people who had mentioned it before, while he was going for his biggest titles, and nothing was ever done about it.

he met him once in order to do some climbing testing to determine if he should move from mountain bike racing to road racing.

no further involvement.

Many people have met Dr Ferrari, not all of them suddenly doped.
 
This whole thing is bullshit and some **** is just trying to build his career out of bringing down one of the best athletes of all time regardless if he doped or not, else they just have a massive vendetta again Lance

Why would all these people just now all these years later be coming out and giving evidence against him and the way they doped etc etc, learn to keep your fucking mouth shut if it has nothing to do with you...
 
It appears this is not something that has just suddenly come out of the blue.

It seems this has been brewing for quite some time.

We can't know what is going on or why. riders giving evidence have little to gain from doing so, possibly more to lose if you see what's been occurring of late.
 

Pretty much, so if these riders have nothing to gain and more to lose by giving evidence they keep their bloody mouths shut..
 
Yeh I don't see the point in stripping his medals when pretty much every single rider was on some form of steroids. I'd agree with the vendetta.
 
I was speaking to an ex-European circuit rider last week and he suggests new passport system still allows ways to cheat.

another drug expert indicated that still no reliable test for blood doping.

Neverthlesss, fact is that star after star is getting caught means now much harder to cheat. No one is now deemed too big to fall.


Interesting times.

Just like Armstrong severed ties with him after he was convicted... yeah right...

at this point in time testing has caught up with the doping, give it a couple of years and what everyone is using will be undetectable.. it's not right but it's the way it is... every single athelete is trying to eek out that extra 5%-10% in every performance.. be it using sleeping pills to sleep, Doping, stimulants, gear anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves.
