Get a deepfreezer. Pick one up from gumtree or ebay or you might get lucky on hard rubbish day (like I was!)
I blend fruits and freeze them. And I get frozen mixed berries. That way I can keep them forever. I make smoothies and I blend them with protien powder, while working out.
Kidney beans and Salsa. Cheap, healthy and fast. Canned kidney beans are like under a dollar. You can boil your own too. Its cheaper. Aside from kidney beans, you can also boil lentils and add salsa (one tablespoon or so)
Canned Chicken (I know what youre thinking...think like tuna). but you can shop in advance, and store them easily. Toss them on a pan with some frozen beans, frozen diced onions, a bit of seasoning, and go nuts!
