Is Sports/health cerial good for you or it just a gimmick?

I was on the regular weet bix for a while. But every time i go to get me some ceareal from the cupboard its fibre plus or ultra snacky protien plus nuts or some shit. Wanted to know if they were ok or if they are a gimmick and i shoukld get my own stuff.
 
Watch the sugar content. I buy those cereals for the boy (when he first moved in he at Fruit Loops, so its an improvement) and have found the sugar content is all over the place. Since you are male, the added folate wouldn't be much help, unless you are like the pregnant man on Oprah. But like the other said, oats are best.
