Importing CD's to iTunes.

Dudes,
I have aquired an iPod for Chrissy.
Now I'm trying tom import my CD's to iTunes and while 90% work some don't. Any ideas on how to overcome this?

As in iTunes says "cannot Import" or it doesn't recognise there is a disk there?

Not recognizing disc.

I tried opening with Windows Media player so I can rip them but not recognizing either.

Does the disk actually work? Can you put it in the drive and just play it?

No it doesn't just tried. It does work on portable CD player though.

Anyhow I have solved mystery. I gave CD a clean with a tissue and it worked.

Well fuck it, it worked with one (giving it a wipe) but not with the others. I figure that they are probably scratched but they do work on portable CD player. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
