I'm a fan of the Crossfit methodology on this. Make your workouts measurable, observable and repeatable. Force x distance/time = power. Get a higher power figure = progress
I interpreted mirror to mean "visual feedback," which would include photos. Photos are definitely more reliable than what you see in the mirror every morning, since you don't tend to notice what the mirror says
The gap between workout dates in my log. When there was an 11 month gap I made no progress, but after a month of no more than 3 day gap I'm doing well. Once I have consistency covered I'll look at these other things.
