How Can I Protect My Nerves from Damage Caused by Severe Tooth Decay?

Hi everyone,

I recently came across information about how rotten teeth can affect the nerves inside your mouth and potentially cause long-term nerve damage. I’m concerned about the symptoms and risks related to nerve exposure or damage due to severe tooth decay.

Specifically, with decaying teeth worsening over time, how can one best protect the nerves from harm? Has anyone experienced nerve pain or sensitivity linked to decayed teeth? What are the best ways to prevent nerve damage when dealing with advanced cavities? Also, how urgent is treatment once nerve involvement is suspected?

Any advice from dental professionals or personal experiences would be really helpful. Thanks!
