High Volume Training ?

Want to get info on high volume training. Some people swear buy it, doing in excess of 20 sets a bodypart. What are the pros/cons and the best way to go about High volume training.
 
i've done the 10x10 but i'm thinking of really throwing volume on specific bodyparts. Such as my back and legs, 25 sets each. Is this a good idea
