Hi guys,

Just wanted to say hi, and quickly introduce myself.

My name is Dallas, and im from Sydney, and own a company called Bodyfit Meals that we've just launched.

A little background on us. We're specialists in food nutrition (aimed at health care) and turned our expertise on the fitness / bodybuilding market... after seeing whats out there, you guys REALLY need some good food to eat thats not boring meat and rice! I love to eat, and Yes, its possible to combine great nutrition with great flavour.

Yes, we are a company selling the best value high protein, low fat meals... but no, we're not just going to come on here and try to flog our stuff to you. Now i've got that out of the way, im going to be jumping on here every now and again to help offer some nutritional / cooking / food preperation advice for those of you who are interested or want some tips or hints. We are trained chefs coming from the nutrition and hospitality industry, NOT athletes trying to be chefs. Want recipe ideas, want to know the best (and easiest) way to cook something?? I'm your guy!.

Anyways, Im going to be lurking around to try to answer any questions you might have... i'll be checking in every few days, but if you do have a specific question that just cant wait, get me on facebook (search bodyfit meals) or email me....

cheers

Dallas

Do you make or have a recipe for high protein low carb icecream?
Ive seen it around, but its expensive & think people who watch their diet closely would love it ( i know I would)

hey Taurus,

ummm... you've put me in a jam, as we're currently working on trial batches, and will be launching this very product in 1 - 2 months once summer hits.... but I did join here to give tips and advice, so why the hell not...

this is for those who want a simple, no ice-cream machine recipe

main ingredients are egg whites and whey protein powder... whip the egg whites to a merangue consistancy, then heat over a double boiler (bowl over simmering water) whilst combining in the whey powder... be carefull not to scamble the eggs!... once combined, you can mix through your flavours (coconut, almonds, berries etc) then put in container and freeze. The air you combined into the mix during whipping the whites will make it soft and fluffy, and best of all, you dont need an ice cream mixer!

If you have a sweet tooth, you can add caster sugar once the egg whites are mixed (little at a time).

best of all, its super high protein, virtually no fat, no dairy, and basically great tasting without the guilt!. :)

happy eating!

D
